Photographing sunset is a fun, which makes us to shoot in a timebound way, Take a stop watch go to the terrace, balcony or a window and watch the sunset and the time it takes to fall into horizon.It will be amazing.

Coming to the photography, don't just take photos in the first day, observe the sunset, see all around... the changing colors of the sky at sunset, the fog, streaks of clouds , chirping of home returning birds, occasional big steel birds.

Only a bright orange disk captured as photograph is not much interesting, so have a good foreground. May be good silhoutte of a tree or a building or your friends.

Also you can notice that in chennai's geographical position you can see the sunset slighlty in the southwest direction in December, moving towards straight west around march and slighlty northwest in the month of june.
Usually I find the months of december and january good for taking the sunsets, I don't know why but atleast from my observation that sunset photos came out very well.
